Among the key features of the 385 are the yacht's striking looks, the best cockpit of any yacht in its class, clear decks with flush hatches, 20 percent more interior volume, and improved sailing performance compared with the previous model. The Hanse 385 has a large sail area with self-tacking headsail, resulting in performance sailing with a limited crew. Also to enhance performance are the twin-wheel Jefa steering system as standard, long rudder and T-bulb keel. A large multi-function cockpit table, superior vinylester construction, main bulkhead laminated to the hull and deck, telescoping companionway access, versatile interior layouts including a choice of galleys, a spacious and airy interior and optional air-conditioning are additional features that set the Hanse 385 apart from the rest.
