1981 Hartley Queenslander, launched in 2001 ‘Black Duck’ is a classic style liveaboard custom cruiser. Professionally built from ferro cement in New Zealand, Black Duck is a robust and proven cruiser well equipped for handling the open ocean or coastal cruising. With a proven track record of navigating halfway around the world, her seaworthiness instils confidence even in rough weather conditions. With space not usually found on a boat of her size, Black Duck is great for living aboard. Not only is her timber interior beautiful and spacious, but her large lazarette area allows repairs and maintenance to be carried out in any port. Having arrived in the Mediterranean in 2023, Black Duck is ready to sail and comes with a lot of spare parts and extras to keep her cruising for many more adventures. Black Duck has only had 2 owners. The current owners bought Black Duck in 2017. Since then they have sailed her from Australia to Greece, keeping her well-maintained and hauling her out every 12 months. They have returned to Europe to finish their educations and are motivated to sell. They are familiar with every aspect of the boat and are happy to answer any questions. Black Duck is currently on stored ashore in Leros, Greece ready for viewing.
