1985 Hatteras 53 Extended Deck (ED) Motor Yacht

“ALWAYS LATE” STABLILIZED

Naiad stabilized for added comfort at sea.

The entire exterior was repainted by Composite Yachts in Maryland in 2012. Some flooring was replaced with teak and holly and the wall coverings are beautiful textured coverings with matching upholstery. The boat has been well cared for by a knowledgeable yacht maintenance company.

The aft deck is an open deck with plenty of room for a table, chairs, and the popular BBQ grill as well as ease of line handling. The lower deck floor plan of the 53 ED remains unchanged from the 53 MY with 3 staterooms and 3 heads, separate engine rooms, and massive galley and dinette area. Topside the flybridge is greatly enlarged from the Hatteras 53 motor yacht and features a large helm area and aft room for the dingy davit and dingy chocks. Additional improved features include a swim platform, molded bow seats, large bow pulpit and wide side decks.

ALWAYS LATE has been extensively upgraded in the past with teak and holly flooring, granite countertops, wall coverings, galley appliances and soft goods. Cared for by her knowledgeable owner, she is an excellent motor yacht and will surely please the most discriminating Hatteras 53 ED buyer.

Vessel Walkthrough

Accommodations:

Through either the port or starboard pilot house doors you enter the large pilot house area. Standing in front of the helm you begin to realize the beauty of the Hatteras 53 ED. To port is the interior flybridge ladder with teak doors separating the flybridge from the pilot house. Behind is the large helm seating area with storage drawers under the seat and storage cabinets above. The pilot house is separated from the main salon area by a built in “wall” which can be elevated or lowered electronically. On the starboard side is access down to the lower deck level. Going aft you enter the massive main salon area which features a large “L” shaped starboard settee, port side chair and ottoman and an entertainment center which has a built in TV mounted on an electronic lift which allows the TV to be completely concealed. Aft are two acrylic doors which allow access to the aft deck. All the way forward is a wet bar area with ice maker, refrigerator, and large storage areas. Back to the pilot house and down the steps along the starboard side you enter the galley area. Along the starboard side is a convertible dinette with storage drawers under and a large storage area built into the starboard bulkhead. To port is the large “U” shaped galley area which features updated cabinets, appliances, granite countertops and teak and holly floors. Access to the generator room is though the opening sole hatch.

Forward of the galley is the guest quarters which features starboard side upper and lower berths, an ensuite head and separate shower and the laundry center.

Through the galley area and aft is a large hallway which separates the engine rooms. Both engine rooms feature a forward and aft opening door and a middle large access panel. This configuration allows 360-degree engine access. Down the hallway and to port is the VIP stateroom which features port and starboard twin berths separated by a nightstand, hanging locker, and mirrored wall forward. Across from the guest stateroom is the guest head which features a beautiful glass tiled floor, onyx solid surface vanity top, updated vanity bowel sink, electric head, and a separate shower stall. Further aft is the master cabin which features a queen center line berth with port and starboard nightstands and storage drawers. Along the port side is a mirrored vanity area. Forward is a large walk-in closet featuring mirrored bi-fold doors. The master head is along the forward starboard side and features marble flooring, granite vanity top with updated sink bowl, storage, and a separate shower stall.

The flybridge is large and features a hard top with a three-sided EZ2CU glass enclosure, a single helm seat and a “U” shaped fiberglass seating arrangement for guests. Aft is the dingy davit and dingy.
