Designed by Kim Holman and built by Whisstocks of Woodbridge in 1972, Silent Flight, is the last of the seven Landfall Ketches built. They were designed as comfortable, capable passage makers and built to a high standard with quality materials. They are shallow draft boats, allowing access to cruising grounds off limits to most yachts of their size. Carvel planked in Iroko on oak frames. External iron ballast keel.

160 litres of diesel in 2 separate stainless tanks either side of the cockpit.
Vetus 80kw 2000 electric bow thruster
New batteries 2016. 1 dedicated start battery, 2 x domestic batteries and 2 x bow thruster batteries.
Batteries charged from engine alternator or shore power system with a Merlin 240v charger.
Calorifier hot water tank run from the engine or the 240v supply.
The Doghouse has a pilot seat each side with full standing headroom over the engine box.
Steps down into the main saloon with the galley to port and chart desk to starboard.
The Galley has a Neptune 4500 gimballed 2 burner gas stove with oven and grill. Single deep stainless sink with pressurised hot and cold water. Isotherm Cruise 49 12 volt fridge located opposite the galley. Ample storage space for domestic equipment in lockers and shelves around the galley.
The Chart desk faces outboard and lifts to access a single pilot berth. Chart stowage beneath the desk and electronic instruments to hand.
Half height bulkheads with vertical grab rails separate off the main saloon.
Port side U-shaped settee converts to a double berth. Single settee berth to starboard.
Centreline dropleaf varnished saloon table seats 6 people comfortably.
Starboard side passageway going forward. Heads compartment bi-fold door comes back to close off the passageway entirely and make a large private space.
Blakes manual sea toilet to port, discharges directly overboard. New seals on heads and new seacocks 2018. To starboard is a stainless steel hand basin and storage.
The fore-cabin has a large double V-berth and plenty of storage space. Full headroom beneath the coachroof, hatch above for access.
