Additional Comments

Previous owners' comments:

Osiris has only had three previous owners and we purchased her in Feb 2002. At that time the hull needed minor epoxy treatment but it was decided to also carry out other works whilst she was ashore. She was subsequently relaunched in Apr 2003 having had a full Blakes Epoxy treatment (carried out by Shotley Marine Services), a new Beta 28hp engine, new standing and running rigging including a Sailspar 7M139 continuous line roller reefing on the genoa. All instrumentation was renewed together with a new VHF and Furuno GPS linked to a Yeoman plotter.

The hull was originally spray painted in 1987 by Mel Skeetes, Woodbridge following minor abrasions suffered in the "great storm" of that year. The hull was resprayed on Oct 2018 by Kings Yard, Pin Mill. Decks and topside have been painted over past years and areas of Treadmaster anti-slip laid. In 2014 the antifouling was stripped back and hull checked with no problems found.

Osiris has been laid up every winter and fully covered. Our aim in 2002/3 was to end up with an updated classic long keel cruiser - since when we have logged some 16,000 miles, Our cruising grounds have included the East Coast rivers, Thames Estuary and the Channel from Holland to Brittany. She has proved to be a most comfortable cruising boat and looked after us well.

The present owner has kept Osiris in the same excellent condition since purchase in 2019, but Brexit has put paid to his intention to spend extended time cruising Europe.
