Renovation DetailsThis IP 24 has been completely renovated with exceptional craftsmanship. The wooden parts were professionally removed and coated with high-quality 2K paint in 12 coats, resulting in a fully sealed high gloss finish. All removable elements were unscrewed and triple sealed with Sikaflex. The sanding frames were refurbished and reattached.
The deck features a new paint texture with:
New non-slip paint has been applied. The high gloss painted ceiling interior paneling has been expertly assembled with brass screws. Underneath, there is 9 mm self-adhesive, seawater-resistant Armaflex insulation from Armstrong, which prevents condensation under the ceiling.
All screws have been replaced and sealed, with some being stainless steel and others classic countersunk screws in brass/bronze. Most bronze deck hardware has been replaced, including the top light. All fittings have been resealed and polished, including:
All mooring lines have been replaced with classic lines. New covers include the main cover, bow hatch cover, and compass cover, some of which are embroidered/printed with names. The salon features new upholstery and cushions, and the floor and stairs have been newly painted in high gloss.
New railing rope has been installed aft on both sides with pelican hooks and railing supports. A new shore connection with 2x220V sockets has been added, along with a fully automatic battery charger and a new shore connection cable. New cabling has been installed in the mast, and a new cable entry in the deck. All gas lines and screw connections have been replaced, and there are 2 gas cylinders. Water lines and fittings have been renewed.
The galley includes a 2-burner gas stove, sink, cutlery drawer, double base cabinet, and a new pull-out cabinet under the bench. A new cold water sink mixer from Hansgrohe/Axor has been installed, with a water tank capacity of approximately 80 liters and an electric pump system. The pump toilet has been replaced by a porta potty. All lighting (navigation, deck, interior) is now LED, and two classic brass oil lamps are available. Position lights and surround light have been renewed in brass.
Sails and RiggingThe sails are as good as new, undamaged, and have seen little use since being renewed in 2006. The jib and foresail feature a furling system. A newly installed brass forestay rider is included. The mast, approximately 7.50 m, was renewed in 2012 and consists of 2 complete halves. It received new paintwork in 2017, and hardware has been renewed in stainless steel. The boom shear has been painted, and the gaff was completely renewed in 2018, including specially made stainless steel fittings and new gaffelklau leather. Osmosis treatment was performed in 2006, and the underwater hull was renewed in 2018. All sacrificial anodes are new.

General InformationThe "POTVIS" is a unique and robust sailboat with a classic design, featuring a round frame, pointed port, and long keel. It is suitable for sea and coastal use, providing safe sailing with ample storage and sleeping space for up to 6 people, ideal for 1-4 people. It remains cozy and comfortable even in bad weather. The boat is very stable with typical sailing characteristics, making it ideal for the Frisian lakes, coast, and Wadden Sea.
The classic gaff rigging is slightly more demanding but allows for easy single-handed sailing. All halyards can be operated from the cockpit. The boat comes with:
The original depth sounder is included. All railing supports have been re-sealed, and spacer plates have been installed to protect foot rails. A railing net is present. Cast and iron parts/stainless steel on the drilling rig have been sandblasted, primed, and coated. The steering station features a copper compass and red LED night light, along with a traditional teak wooden helm with engraving and an emergency tiller. A teak swim ladder and flagpole are also included. The navigation star on the jib, flagmast head, and nameplate are 24k gold plated.
Overall, this is a beautifully maintained and lovingly renovated boat that guarantees years of boating pleasure. It is a unique specimen with distinctive character and exceptional space at only 7 meters. The high cockpit design makes sitting in the cockpit very comfortable, providing an amazing amount of space that belies its 7.10 m cutter size, accommodating up to 8 people for day trips under engine. Diesel consumption is around 2 liters per hour.
Complex electronics on board were deliberately avoided in the renovation, making it maintenance-friendly and less prone to repairs. Plotter/radio can be retrofitted, with cable lines available for a second radio at the helm. There are 2x12V USB power connections at the steering position and 1x12V connection in the salon, along with 2x220V new sockets.
All parts have been carefully and professionally renovated to maintain charm and character.
