DESCRIPTION

1987 J Boats J/37

"BEEP BEEP" is a beautiful example of one of Rod Johnstone’s classic J Boats performance cruisers known for rugged, durable, and stable builds. She has been upgraded and enhanced for shorthanded sailing and comfort. "BEEP BEEP" is a fast and fun offshore racer/cruiser. She is well balanced and sails like a dream in light and heavy winds with the low center of gravity.

She has been upgraded and enhanced for shorthanded sailing and comfort. "BEEP BEEP" is a fast and fun offshore racer/cruiser. She is well balanced and sails like a dream in light and heavy winds with the low center of gravity.

All control lines are led back to the cockpit. An electric halyard winch has been installed on the cabin top to starboard of the companionway. The traveler is at the end of the boom forward of wheel pedestal.

She’s in San Carlos Sonora Mexico where her current owners have been sailing for the last five years.


Vessel Walkthrough

Light, stable, high-performance racer-cruiser. At bottom of companionway, the galley is to port and navigation station to starboard.

The forward owner’s cabin has a 6’9” long double berth, hinged berth boards for easy access to storage below berth, one opening port, an overhead hatch, 2 dorade vents, a hanging locker, 4 large drawers and 2 cabinets. The starboard aft cabin has a 6’9” long double berth with filler cushion and has a hanging locker.

There are port and starboard settee berths in the main salon with backrest storage compartments. Additional storage cabinets and shelves outboard of each. The engine is mounted in the middle of the salon and has a beautiful soundproof varnished Teak enclosure with table top.

The head with toilet, hand basin and shower are forward of the main salon on port. Head was replaced 2020.

She sleeps six: two in forward owner’s cabin, two in main salon and two in aft cabin.
