Introducing the J/92S, launched in 1992 with 150 units built, and the last redesigned model in 2003. This specific example of the J/92 is from the year 2005. Designed by Rod Johnstone, it was conceived for family participation in leisure sailing or racing. Its great stability and highly efficient handling systems make it easy to sail with a small and beloved crew. The complexities of the past, such as the Burdas, the spinnaker pole, and the amantillo, are no longer a concern since 1992. This boat is characterized by being a planing and fast vessel, yet also safe and reliable for family sailing. This particular boat has an extensive racing record, first as "Café del Mar" and later as "Estropada".
It features various modifications to optimize rating performance and speed, including the repositioning of the shrouds to maximum beam, the trimming of the bowsprit, and the "cleaning" of interior elements. It comes with a complete set of sails for cruising and racing, with a rating available, and electronics with repeaters on the mast in a Jumbo below the Gooseneck.
