This Jeanneau Sun 2500 was built in 2005 to 2006 specification and is presented in excellent condition. The Sun 2500 is an extremely popular yacht with its lifting keel and twin rudders which allows her to dry out and access the shallowest of rivers and thus is ideal for the South East Coast.

Her slab reefing mainsail with two auto reefs and furling Genoa makes her easy to sail. She has been lightly used and is presented in immaculate condition. This yacht has an amazing amount of accommodation for a yacht of its size. This is a great little yacht and has been competitively priced for a quick sale. A 2023 survey report is available upon request. She has just been antifouled, in March 2025 for the coming season. An early viewing is highly recommended.

Accommodation:

The Jeanneau Sun 2500 has 4 berths in an open plan layout with approx. 5'6 headroom. There are two long settee berths forward. The Saloon table on single leg, which can also be mounted in the cockpit, drops to allow a facility for a double berth (no infill).

Aft of the saloon is a small chart table on the starboard side with hinged lid to a cool box. Aft and to starboard is a large separate heads compartment with marine toilet, basin and wet hanging locker.

The Galley is to port with basin and simple single Bistro burner cooker. The Galley area has plenty of stowage for galley equipment. Manual pumped water from 57 litre plastic tank.

Aft of the galley is an extremely large double berth. Cream vinyl upholstery throughout. Teak and holly saloon flooring. Interior lights.

There is a large cockpit that will seat six, around the cockpit table. The cockpit has a very large deep locker that offers significant storage.

Cast Iron swing keel with twin spade rudders with tiller steering.

History and Construction:

Built by Jeanneau in 2005 to 2006 specification. White GRP hull with style stripes and alloy toe rails. White GRP coach roof with moulded non-skid decks. Cast iron half keel with lifting centre plate. Tiller steering to twin rudders. Large self-draining cockpit and anchor well. Very large cockpit locker. The yacht was last surveyed in July 2023. She was last out of the water in March 2025 when she was antifouled, anodes changed and hull polished. She is only being sold due to the owners health.

Mechanical:

The Sun 2500 is a Bermudan sloop with a Fractional 7/8 rigged deck-stepped Z-Spars Aluminium mast with single set of pushing spreaders and Aluminium boom with 2 reefing points and outhaul.

Monofilament stainless steel shrouds, stainless steel standing rigging with adjustable split backstays. The stainless steel rigging was last replaced in 2021. Terylene running rigging, Slab reefing semi-battened mainsail and with furling Genoa.

Winches:

• 2 x Harken Self-tailing sheet winches

Sails:

• 1 x Main, Semi battened, Elvstrom 2006 fair condition.
• 1 x Genoa, Elvstrom 2006 fair condition, New Sacrificial strip fitted in July 2023

This Jeanneau Sun 2500 has a Yanmar 1GM10 9HP diesel engine located under the companionway steps. It has a shaft drive to a two blade fixed propeller, seawater cooled. Single lever Morse controls. 25-litre plastic fuel tank. She will cruise at 5 knots and has a maximum speed of 7 knots. Engine was last professionally serviced in May 2024.

2 x 12 volt 100 AH batteries (1 x engine + 1 x domestic) new 2022, charging from alternator and via a 240V battery charger connected to the yacht's 240V shore-power system.
