The condition or level of safety equipment on board is not to be negotiated on following survey. It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.
Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.
A highly speced impressive and well maintained cruising yacht.
Bought by the current British owners in 2013 who have cruised throughout the Med. Mallorca, Ibiza, Corsica, Sardinia, Elba, Italy, Sicily, Malta, Croatia, Albania to Greece where she is now based in Lefkas.
“We bought her from the original owner in 2013 in Palma Mallorca, Spain. VAT paid. When we purchased the boat, it was in immaculate condition and we have tried to maintain that.
During our ownership we have sailed round Mallorca and to Ibiza, then the coasts of Sardinia, Corsica, Italy, Sicily, Malta, Croatia, Slovenia, Albania and Greece.
The boat has been wintered out of the water for three years in Croatia and one in Greece but otherwise afloat”

Jeanneau presented the new signature model for 2005. The Sun Odyssey 49 DS was conceived using the Deck Salon concept of the Sun Odyssey 54 DS. Like her big sister, she adopted the teardrop-shaped windows; a key to the success and something to emulate. Her performance-orientated hull designed by Philippe Briand / Jeanneau Design and the new generation deck line created by Vittorio Garroni ensures the boat is not only elegant but comfortable at sea.
