We are proud to offer you this Lady Helmsman. An elegant Swedish lady with graceful lines and impressive sailing qualities. This is a ship you shouldn't think too much about and just let your heart speak. Because yes there are more practical ships and yes there are more obvious ships. But follow your heart and go for something beautiful to see, which is beautifully built and also when the fire brigade sails. The beautiful slender hull, the high mast rigged with backstays, the low superstructure, this ship is made to sail. It is as simple as that.
The cockpit is spacious and deep, the tiller steering gives a sensitive connection with the rudder, there are many trimming possibilities but there is also a reefing jib for practical ease. The sails have been replaced in the winter of 2015/2016 and made by the famous sailmaker "Hagoort". The set is nice and complete and consists of a mainsail, three genoa's, a High Aspect, of course the stay jib, a spinnaker and an asymmetric spi with trunk.
Interesting detail is that with this ship in particular, the keel and rudder blade is extended for even better sailing characteristics. Also invested in a 2007 Yanmar diesel engine of 21 hp, gel shield treatment of the underwater hull, two extra winches for the spinnaker and many other things ranging from a new battery charger at the bottom of the ship to a LED top light in the mast and everything in between.
It is a lady from 1982 but the fact is that the base is above average and she certainly does justice to the excellent Scandinavian yacht building reputation. She has always been treated with care and love and the owner has not cut back on maintenance. In short, it doesn't get much better than this in this genre.
