Dawn Wind is a one off wooden boat designed by the well known Australian designer Len Randell, responsible for several Sydney Hobarth winners and built by a slow working low volumes yard in Western Australia, renowned for their care and attention to the boats they built.
She is constructed of Oregon planking over a spotted gum laminate frame with a plywood laid, teak covered deck.

She is constructed of Oregon planking over a spotted gum laminate frame with a plywood laid, teak covered deck. She carries a lead keel with a high displacement of 5100lbs for good sailing performance in all weathers.
With a great history behind her Dawn Wind spent much of her early years in Australia, the first owners its believed undertook some successful racing on her, in the late 1980s she was sailed from her native Australia back to the UK via the Suez Canal and then over the last decade has come to reside in the Eastern Med.
With the current owners sailing ambitions fulfilled she is now seeking a new owner to take her forward to the next part of the story.
