Owners Comments
What a great decision we made to buy this boat! She is solid like a tank. But a fast tank! Like an M-1. She has taken everything that the Atlantic, the Mediteranean and Caribbean have thrown at her and just shrugged it off and kept on hauling. Bella Vitta is amazingly comfortable and we are the envy of almost everyone that has been aboard, especially the wives... "Wait, you have an ice maker... air conditioning... you have a WASHER/DRYER!!! Honey, I want a new boat and make it a cat like this one". The big genset is almost silent and as near as I can tell, makes enough electricity to power a Vegas casino light show. I mean you just can't overload this thing. Fire it up and start running stuff, 100 amp battery charger, no problem, add the watermaker (8 GPH), no problem, turn on the ice maker and do a load of laundry, no problem, make hot water, no problem, hell let's fire up the air conditioning (3 water-cooled heat pumps) and see if we can at least get the thing to complain a little bit, nope, the generator just keeps purring along and burning about a half gallon an hour under full load. For back up, we have a wind generator installed on the davits. The bottom line is that we love this boat, she has sailed our family of 4 safely across the Atlantic in both directions. Our sons have to finish school. When we go back cruising in 5 years time we will likely buy the same model catamaran: she is easily sailed by a couple, has a decent turn of speed and is the most comfortable and well ventilated catamaran we have been on. We've been in dozens of anchorages, some packed with boats. We've seen a big amount of cruising vessels of all types and the simple truth is that I have not seen one boat that we would rather be sailing We hope the new owners will enjoy Bella Vita like we did.
