She is built on a solid fiberglass, modified-V hull with a 13'6" beam, and her low-profile appearance results from locating the engines under the cockpit sole. The Mainship 40 Sedan Bridge uses V-drives to move the engines aft under the cockpit sole, effectively lowering the salon while simultaneously improving the boat's profile and allowing large accommodations for a boat of this size. The interior of the 40 Sedan Bridge--a step down from the cockpit level--is arranged with two staterooms forward and a spacious, full-beam salon with lounge seating for eight. The open galley and pull-out sofa allow guests to interact with each other and the chef. There is storage under the sofa. There is a walkaround double berth in the master stateroom.
