Beautiful example of the highly desirable Hunter Channel 32. These boats have a bit of a cult following due to the easy handling qualities and the quality of the fit out below decks. This is a bilge keeled version which gives you freedom to explore the more remote and shallower locations of our beautiful island. The boat has been well maintained by her various owners. The present custodians have had her standing rigging replaced, updated her electronic navigation aids and introduced simulated teak into the cockpit.
Below decks can sleep 7over two cabins and the saloon. Eberspacher diesel fired heating, extends the season.
Vessel is powered by a reliable and very economical Yanmar 2GM20F. This 2-cylinder workhorse is well maintained and undergoes an annual service. The engine is situated beneath the companionway and can be accessed from the front or rear. Single lever engine control mounted in cockpit. Engine start panel at companionway. Reduction gearbox driving a stainless-steel shaft and 2-bladed fixed propeller. Rope cutter.
Bank of 2x12V batteries providing engine start and domestic power. These were replaced 2022 and are kept topped up by either the engine alternator or the onboard Sterling Pro-Charge Ultra battery charger. Shore power including cable. 12V switch panel at chart table. 3-Pin sockets.
Fractional Bermudan sloop rigged yacht with deck stepped aluminium spars by Z-Spars. Roller furling self-tacking jib makes shorthanded sailing very easy indeed. Boom mounted slab reefing mainsail with stack Pak and lazy jack lines. All lines are led aft to cockpit via turning blocks and deck organisers. Anderson self-tailing, single speed winches.
Sails include a semi battened mainsail and a roller furling genoa.
Below decks is warm and welcoming thanks to the perfect blend of interior woodwork and neutral upholstery. The main cabin is accessed from the saloon via a stainless-steel ladder with teak steps. You are immediately impressed by the headroom and the functionality of the layout. To port is a chart table/navigation area with seat, chart storage, weather instruments and 12V panel.
to starboard is the L-Shaped galley with the Hunter Boats signature curved worktops, stainless steel sinks and plentiful deep cupboard storage. There is a gas fuelled, Plastimo Neptune 2000 oven with 2-burner hob and separate grill. 12V fridge with freezer capabilities.
The main saloon features two deep, well upholstered settees either side of a drop leaved table. The back rests are hinged and can be raised which makes the resultant berth space larger and the back rest can be secured in place to make an additional bunk. Both settee berths are fitted with lee cloths for inclement weather sailing.
In the bow is the bow cabin with V-Berth which can made into a double by adding an infill. There is an opening deck hatch for additional light and ventilation and 12V lighting throughout.
Returning to the saloon and moving aft of the galley is the rear cabin again with a large double berth, hanging and shelved storage and a very useful opening side hatch into the cockpit. This allows excellent air flow. Again, 12V lighting as standard along with 3-pin sockets.
Aft of the chart table is the spacious heads with Jabsco sea toilet with twist’n’lock flush handle, moulded sink unit with storage below and a hot and cold shower with sump pump out. Wet locker stowage.
