The Mascot 28 was designed as a motorsailer with the emphasis on sailing. As such these boats are very like another Scandinavian brand, the LM range. 
Ideal for northern coastal sailing. They have a unique feature of being able to open up the wheelhouse fully, to integrate with the center cockpit. This is great for socialising and sailing when the weather is nice.
These Danish built boats are well put together and robust. "Elskede" is in good condition and has just been professionally polished and antifouled. She is ready to set sail in the spring.

Hull, deck & superstructure

• GRP hull, deck and superstructure.
• Original off-white gelcoat. Professionally polished January 2025.
• Off-White textured gelcoat deck.
• Off-White wheelhouse with aluminium framed windows and teak framed wheelhouse doors .
• Aft cockpit with teak topped seats with lockers under the forward two.
• Aft storage area which can also be used as a two berth cabin.
• GRP encapsulated keel.
• Skeg hung rudder with internal wheel steering and cockpit tiller steering.

Interior & accommodation

The Mascot 28 has a flexible sleeping arrangement. In total she will sleep 7 in 3 cabins including the saloon and she has a separate heads compartment and galley.

• Teak veneered ply with solid Teak trims.
• GRP cabin sole with overlaid carpet.
• Vinyl covered headlining panels with varnished Teak trim.
• Eberspacher diesel fired warm air central heating with thermostat and outlets in the forward cabin and saloon.
• Overhead lighting throughout and saloon reading lights.

Forward cabin

• V berth with infill to create a large double.
• Shelving running the full length of the cabin port and starboard above the berth.
• Deck hatch with vent.
• Storage beneath the berth.

Heads

• Situated between the forward cabin and saloon.
• RM69 manual marine toilet. Serviced 2022.
• Pull out wash basin with pressurised cold water supply.
• Cabinet for toiletries.
• Coachroof window with curtain.

Hanging locker

• Opposite the heads is a large locker with hanging space and shelves.

Saloon

• Single settee berth to port.
• U shaped seating area to starboard with double leaf table. This area will also convert to a double with infill.
• There are overhead lockers that run the full length port and starboard with a shelf above.
• The steps into the wheelhouse are removable to give additional access to the engine (pictured).

Wheelhouse

• 360 degree panoramic view.
• Helm station to starboard with a seat mounted above a storage locker.
• Wheel steering and instrumentation with hatch above.
• Windscreen wiper with new motor 2022.
• To port is a galley.
• Bi-fold door to the saloon and double door with folding lower section gives open access to the cockpit.
• The whole floor section raises to give full access to the engine.

Galley

• Inset round stainless steel sink with pressurised cold water supply.
• Plastimo Atlantic stainless steel cooker with two gas burners, grill and oven.
• The cooker has a heat shield lid which hinges up when in use and folds down to create work surface when not.
• Outboard are storage lockers, there is also a locker under the sink and under the cooker. 

Aft cabin

• Accessed from the cockpit aft.
• There are berths port and starboard.
• This area is currently used for storage (pictured).

• Stainless steel pulpit carrying twin PVC covered guard wires aft, via stanchion posts, to quarter pushpits with a boarding gate.
• Hardwood grab rails running the length of the wheelhouse sides and coachroof.

• Manual anchor windlass with warping drum.

• Mast mounted spinnaker pole track with movable ring. No pole or spinnaker.
• Stainless steel standing rigging. Inspected 2023.

• Colnebrooke roller reefing headfoil system with furling line running aft to the cockpit.
• Mainsheet tackle is on top of the wheelhouse and the Genoa sheets run via cars on side deck tracks.

• New exhaust elbow. Fitted Oct 2024 (£1000).
• Shaft drive to 3 blade Bronze prop.
