Accommodation :This
Moody 31 offers six berths in two cabins and the saloon with two double berths and approx. 6' 1" maximum headroom. Forward is a V berth with infill which converts to double and with three storage compartments and hanging locker. The aft cabin has a good double sized berth, hanging locker, shelves and cave lockers and also under berth storage. Two single settee berths in saloon with drop leaf teak saloon table. Floor fully carpeted with curtains,
The L shaped Galley is to starboard with Formica work surface, single stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressurised water from the engine. The hot water tank has recently been replaced. Flavel two burner gas cooker with grill and oven, fridge and lots of storage. Good sized chart table to port with panel for instruments and lots of storage space. Separate heads compartment with marine toilet, wash basin and shower head.
There is a large cockpit area with large storage lockers. Lots of room to sit with wheel steering.

History & Constructions:This
Moody 31 was built in 1984 by Marine Projects (Plymouth) Ltd. with Lloyds Hull Construction certificate to a design by Bill Dixon. White GRP hull with blue style stripes. White GRP coach roof with light grey moulded non-skid decks. Cast iron bilge keel. Self-draining cockpit and anchor well. Alloy toe rails. Stainless steel rails and guard wires. Spade hung rudder. Owned by the current owner for the past 15 years. Owner is selling due to poor health.
Mechanical :Sails and Spars:Masthead Bermudan rigged sloop. Kemp silver anodised aluminium deck stepped mast and boom.. Stainless steel standing rigging (replaced 2000) Terylene running rigging, replaced as required, led aft to cockpit. In-boom reefing mainsail. Furling genoa with Furlex furling system. Alloy spinnaker pole.
Winches:
• 2 x Lewmar genoa winches.

Mechanical Systems:
Located under companionway steps in vented and sound proofed compartment. Volvo Penta MD2003 28hp three cylinder diesel engine with electric start and reduction gearbox with reverse to shaft drive with 2 blade fixed prop with rope cutter. DB Marine gearbox spline modification has been fitted. Single lever engine controls. (Serviced every year) Last service May 2022 by the owner. Plastic 75 litre fuel tank. Cruising speed of 6 knots with a maximum of 7 knots. Two new rear engine mounts have been fitted, the PSS shaft seal has been overhauled including a new rubber gaiter, New Trudesign seacocks have been fitted on the sea toilet (2022)
Electrical Systems:
3 x 12v batteries ( 1 x 85AH Engine new 2019, 2 x 100AH Domestic ) charging from alternator and 240v shore power, Victron charging system with Bluetooth connection to smartphone app
Keel:
Cast iron bilge keels with spade rudder with wheel steering. Hull had preventative Osmosis treatment in 2009 completed by Swale Marina.
