The condition or level of safety equipment on board is not to be negotiated on following survey. It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.
Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.
Some background history in our ownership.
Purchased by us as the third owners in December 2010 in Turkey, where for her first eight years or so, she was Chartered by an exclusive, high end charter company Top Yacht, where she was rigorously and meticulously maintained every year. We have enjoyed her since, albeit on a limited basis due to work commitments for only five or six weeks a year sailing the beautiful and fantastic cruising grounds of the south west Turkish coast.
In 2016 we sailed her from Turkey and returned to our old cruising area in the Ionian. During our ownership, she has looked after us very well and is a very comfortable boat both in terms of ample accommodation and at sea. We have experienced 45 knots in big seas in the Aegean and never once did she feel unstable or unsafe. A very capable yacht. She is also very easy to look after and maintain due to her size and volume providing easy access to all systems. Given her size and proportions she is also surprisingly quick too, having regularly seen 8-9 knots on her log.
Listed below are the documents/or copies of what we have seen on listing this yacht.
British Certificate of Registration - SSR current
