Accommodation
The boat offers up to 7 berths, with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation. In the forecabin, good sized double V berth with stowage under and opening hatch to deck above. En-suite heads compartment with marine toilet, shower and washbasin. Holding tank. In saloon, dinette with settee berth opposite. Large saloon table with drop leaves. Two opening deck hatches. Good sized chart table to port with chart stowage and instrument display. Galley opposite. Twin stainless steel sinks with hot and cold pressurised water supply. 374 litre freshwater capacity in two tanks. Manual back up water pump. Two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven. Refrigerator with ice box. Microwave cooker. Single berth cabin to starboard which is also the walk-through to the aft cabin. To starboard is the en-suite heads compartment with access from the saloon and aft cabin. This has a separate shower cubicle and electric flush marine toilet with holding tank. The owner's cabin boasts a large island double berth with an occasional seat to starboard. Hanging lockers. Eberspacher diesel fired hot air central heating.
Mechanical Systems
Located under the companionway stairs aft of the fuel tank with excellent access from both sides via opening doors and a panel from the aft cabin. Volvo Penta MD22L , 50hp, 4 cylinder marine diesel engine. Freshwater cooled via a heat exchanger. Single lever controls with electric start. Saildrive to a fixed 3 bladed aluminium propeller. Saildrive diaphragm is due to be changed this Autumn. 274 litre fuel capacity.
Side power SP75 bow thruster with remote (serviced 2021).
Mastervolt whisper 3.5 kVA generator with exhaust water separator (serviced 2020).

Construction
The Moody 42CC was built by Moody Yachts in 2000 to a design of Bill Dixon. A hand laid glass fibre construction with white topsides that are balsa cored above the waterline. GRP bonded frames and stringers. Light grey GRP deck and coach roof with moulded non-slip decks. Teak cap rail. Shoal fin keel with a half-skeg semi balanced rudder. Wheel steering Teak internal joinery. Last surveyed in 2011 with all recommendations carried out.
