Accommodation

Sula Sula has been fitted out to a high standard with much attention to detail. It is quite obviously a boat for the high seas with her practical layout, excellent stowage and good ventilation throughout; ideal for extended time aboard. There are up to eight berths with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation. In the forecabin, V berth with stowage under and opening hatch to deck. Separate heads compartment with electric marine toilet with holding tank and washbasin. Hanging locker locker and general stowage opposite.

Moving aft into lower saloon, there is a dinette to port that converts to a double with the galley opposite. Force Ten gimballed gas cooker with four burners, grill and oven. Twin stainless steel sink with pressurised hot and cold water system. 455 litre freshwater capacity in twin stainless steel tanks. Water heated by engine or shorepower. Refrigerator under the dinette seats. Steps up to deck saloon.

Here in the wheel house, there is a large table to port which converts into a single sea berth. The inside helm is opposite with control panel and instrumentation. This deck saloon allows excellent all-round visibility whilst sitting at the table or standing at the inside helm.

Moving aft again, you have the walk through to the aft cabin. In the walk through there is another single sea berth with storage opposite. In the aft cabin , there is the large double berth with fantastic storage around and underneath with hanging lockers and good access to the rudder stock. En-suite heads compartment with electric marine toilet, shower and washbasin. Holding tank.

Mechanical Systems

Located under wheelhouse sole, Ford Lehman six cylinder 120hp diesel engine. Approximately 990 engine hours from new. Electric start. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Shaft drive to four bladed Maxi feathering propeller (new 2019). Single lever controls at helm and deck saloon. 910 litre fuel capacity in three tanks - a main tank, reserve tank and a day tank - giving approximately 1200 mile range at 6.5 knot cruising speed. Maximum speed under power 8.5 knots. Sidepower SP75Ti bowthruster.

Mase Mariner 6KVA diesel generator fitted in engine bay. Approximately 197 running hours. Single cylinder.

Construction

Built in 1984 by Motiva Yachts to a design by Borghegn Yacht Design. Dark blue painted steel hull. White painted steel superstructure with deck saloon and teak laid deck. Centre self draining cockpit. Fin keel. Skeg hung rudder. Wheel steering.

Last surveyed in 2020 with all recommendations carried out. Hull epoxied below water line in 2020. Hull painted above water line in 2023.
