The Claymore 30 Motor Sailer is a fine example of the class and represents a particularly strong motor sailing yacht. This Claymore 30 has been very well maintained and only very lightly used by its current owner and those before him. The Claymore 30 is a very spacious well designed yacht with deep cabins and plenty of head room. Even so, her draft is only 1.24 metres.

The Claymore 30 Motor Sailer is a fine example of the class and represents a particularly strong motor sailing yacht. This Claymore 30 has been very well maintained and only very lightly used by its current owner and those before him. The Claymore 30 is a very spacious well designed yacht with deep cabins and plenty of head room. Even so, her draft is only 1.24 metres. With three cabins, the accommodation and social space is substantial. Owner is keen to sell and open to reasonable offers.

Accommodation

Very spacious and well-designed deep cabins affording generous headroom. She has three cabins. Aft cabin, a central wheelhouse/ shelter deck and fitted canopy, steering position. down forward into saloon with fitted seating to port around a dining table opposite is the galley area with the upholstery finished in red cloth, carpeted and curtains throughout. Heads compartment aft to starboard of forward companionway fitted with a baby Blakemarine toilet (a shower could be fitted if required). Cold water system (a gas water heater is  fitted but is not plumbed in). 2 x Hanging lockers in Aft Cabin. In the forepeak there is a further cabin with a “V” berth there is infill cushioning to make up into a double berth. Galley is equipped with gas cooker oven and grill, sink with cold water supply, fridge/icebox, microwave oven, crockery and cutlery included.

Sails & Spars

The Claymore 30 is rigged as a masthead sloop with a aluminium mast and boom on a tabernacle (1976). Slab reefing mainsail with furling headsail.

Winches:

  • 2 x Sheet winches Lewmar 46 Self-tailing  two speed (2014)
  • 2 x Halyard winches

Sails:

  • 1 x Mainsail (North Sea Sails 2014 new not used white)
  • 1 x Genoa (Jeckles good condition new sacrificial strip 2014 white/blue)
  • 1 x Genoa (good condition new sacrificial strip 2014 white/blue)

Mechanical Systems

The Claymore 30 is powered by a 1976 Perkins 4108 48hp four-cylinder diesel engine, shaft drive to a bronze 3-bladed propeller. Engine last serviced in 2014 by the owner.
