DESCRIPTION

1962 Troll Motor Sailer with 50 hp Perkins Prima 4 cylinder diesel engine and good cruising inventory. A very well maintained example of these traditional clinker built motor sailers, designed by Gunnar F Klingenbergwith full length oak keel, mahogany on oak planking and canoe stern, on the lines of a traditional Norwegian fishing boat.

1962 Troll Motor Sailer with 50 hp Perkins Prima 4 cylinder diesel engine and good cruising inventory. A very well maintained example of these traditional clinker built motor sailers, designed by Gunnar F Klingenbergwith full length oak keel, mahogany on oak planking and canoe stern, on the lines of a traditional Norwegian fishing boat. Since purchasing the yacht, the current owners have spent a considerable sum on numerous upgrades and an extensive programme of hull, deck and coachroof repairs in 2002, 2006, 2008 and 2016 which also included a major mechanical overhaul and new keel bolts / chain plates. An ideal traditional liveaboard cruising yacht which was last surveyed in 2011 and 2014.

Mechanical And Electrical

  • 50 hp Perkins Prima 4 cylinder diesel engine (1988) with full instrumentation and single lever control gives 7 knots cruising
  • Engine lifted out for major overhaul in 2008 which included new engine mounts, sound proofing, 15” 3 blade propeller, stern tube, s/s shaft, coupling, Vetus exhaust system and chain plates
