Nautitech Catamarans for Sale

The brand has always had a finger on the pulse of development and played an important role in the development of cruising catamarans, especially in regards to the creation of one spacious living area with the helm at the heart. 

Throughout the decades Nautitech has produced some impressive models including the Nautitech 40, Nautitech 44, and Nautitech 51, which owe their origins to the late noughties. Later, under Bavaria Yachts, expansion and innovation saw the launch of models such as the 46 Fly sailing cat as well as the brand’s first power cat, the 47 Power in 2014 and 2016, respectively. 

Modernization and development changed the way the brand approached its production, and a range of models were able to be built under one multi-product line. Nautitech’s large facility is located in Rochefort sur Mer in France’s Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, which has a long legacy of shipbuilding. It employs some 150 staff and builds around 50 catamarans a year, 70% of which are exported worldwide. 

 

Model ranges/Models of Nautitech Catamarans

 

Unlike some other brands, Nautitech Catamarans has always focused its efforts on designing and building a small line-up of yachts that they continue to improve year on year. Many of its previous models are available on the used market, including power models such as the Nautitech 47 Power, out of production since 2019. 

The current line-up features three models; 40 Open, 44 Open, and 48 Open. The Open concept is at the core of Nautitech’s design ethos, which focuses on creating wide, spacious living spaces with the helm at the heart. In doing so, the saloon and cockpit flow one into another, allowing entertaining and captaining to become one. 

The largest model in the current line-up—and the brand’s flagship—is the 48 Open, a sleek and elegant cruiser multihull whose silhouette is noticeably modern with its unusual inverted bows. Emphasis has been placed on creating a hull that offers hydrodynamic performance to ensure a balance between sailing performance and comfort in the hulls. The Open design features a double aft helm for ease of sailing as well as a good view of the sails, ease of maneuverability around the decks, and an interior saloon that seamlessly joins to the cockpit for one-level living. The 48 Open is the company’s newest model and is designed by Christophe Chedal-Anglay. It features light interior décor, a spacious kitchen, and a choice of layouts with versatile cabin spaces. In the winter of 2025, the 48 Open was named the European Yacht of the Year in the Multihull category!

The 44 Open has also received the prestigious European Yacht of the Year 2023 and Best Boats Top 10 2023 Winner accolades. This model sits between the 40 Open and 48 Open and was designed to create a yacht that was easy to handle with a small crew yet still offered the stability, safety, and long-range capabilities of the larger model. These include the inverted bows, twin helms, open living concept, and modular cockpit.

The smallest model in the current line-up is the 40 Open, one of the brand’s long-standing models, which has seen many previous generations. Boasting natural light, open plan living spaces, ease of handling, luxury finishes, and comfortable and safe cruising, it is easy to see why this is one of Nautitech’s best-selling models.
