Built by the owner in 2021 after he completed the boat building course at the Lyme Regis school.
She is complete with a pair of Beaver Tail paddles and is ready to go.
The canoe has a beam of 3’6” making her exceptionally stable and practical.

Prospector canoe design from Bear Mountain Boats of Canada.
Built by the owner in 2021 after he completed the boat building course at the Lyme Regis school.
She is complete with a pair of Beaver Tail paddles and is ready to go.
The canoe has a beam of 3’6” making her exceptionally stable and practical. Her weight is approximately 25kg so she can be easily carried on the shoulder of one person.
An elegant, practical and very nicely built canoe, perfect for exploring local coats and rivers.

Construction
Strip plank yellow cedar with western red cedar accents.
Hull is sheathed inside and out with epoxy glass cloth using West System epoxy.
Finished externally with 2 pack varnish and painted inside.
Chestmut sole boards glued into the bottom of the hull to provide grip
Ash stems and gunwhales with oak rubbing strakes. All oil finish.
Seats of ash with leather infills.
Pair of Beaver Tail paddles made from ash and douglas fir. Paddles of 61” and 59” respectively.
