Model ranges/Models of Northstar Boats

 

Northstar models serve the recreational and professional markets. Beginning with recreational RIBs, there are five ranges to choose from in the current lineup, with many others available on the used market.

The Axis series is the most compact range of Northstar’s RIBs and consists of six models ranging in size from 10- to 17-footers. These boats mainly function as yacht tenders thanks to their functionality and size, which allows them to fit in tender garages and on swim platforms. Features of this range include hydraulic steering, CSM (Hypalon) tubes, built-in fuel tank, and an automatic bilge pump as well as luxuries such as USB charging and navigation lights. 

The Vega series, which consists of the Vega 3.8 through the Vega 6.4, offers more versatility as these can be used as tenders as well as adapted for fishing and water sports. They feature wide beams and large deck spaces, functional seating, and can accommodate accessories such as livewells, trolling motors, and T-tops. 

The Orion series includes the Orion 6 through Orion 10. These mid-range cruising RIBs were all designed by renowned naval architect Adam Younger and feature stepped hulls, electric heads, and an impressive list of standard features such as swim platforms, fresh water and shower system, table, and hydraulic steering.

The Ion Series features the larger Ion 10.5 and the Ion 12, both also designed by Adam Younger. These high performance RIBs offer fast cruising speeds with sound seakeeping abilities, stepped hulls for a smoother ride, and spacious U-shaped seating with a telescopic table. Hard T-tops, twin engines, a twin seat helm, and lots of stowage and additional features make these luxury leisure craft.

Sitting somewhere in between the recreational and professional boats is the Core Series of RIBs between 14 to 31 feet. These open deck boat RIBs are designed to operate under extreme conditions and come in many configurations of seating. 

The Professional RIBs division by Northstar Boats includes the foldable inflatable GF Series, the Multipurpose RIBs, and the Special Ops RIBs. The Multipurpose RIBs, known as the GM Series, are available in a broad range of models from 14 feet to 41 feet and are designed to be robust, seaworthy, fast, and suited to a wide range of commercial and professional uses.

The Special Ops range, known as the GR (Guard and Rescue) Series, offers vessels from the compact GR 5.6 SR to the GR 12.5C version. All of the models in this broad range have been designed and used for search and rescue purposes including onboard warships, response, and rescue missions.
