"MERLION" 50 OCEAN ALEXANDER MK I
The Ocean Alexander Mark I is a timeless design by Ed Monk, and has somewhat of a cult status with the Pacific coast cruisers.
MERLION presents the opportunity to purchase a "turn-key" Mark I on the east coast where only a handful have been offered for sale in the last ten years (approx 100 were built). Owner recently brought her down from Connecticut for the season (Nov 2021).

Merlion is a three stateroom model with flybridge and CAT power.
The AFT COCKPIT can be accessed through a transom door, and is equipped with a Weber Grill & freshwater shower. Her Lazzerette is large enough for most all your cruising gear, and provides excellent access to Steering Gear and Stern Thruster.
SIDE DECKS are wide & covered making handling of lines easy and safe in foul weather, and her PORTUGUESE BRIDGE will be appreciated when going forward in any weather.
Merlion's PILOTHOUSE is furnished with an L shaped Dinette that converts to a private sleeping area for two. The Pilothouse provides direct access to the Salon - Side Decks - Flybridge and all Staterooms. Headroom is 6'5"
Merlion's FLYBRIDGE is accessed from the Aft Cockpit or directly from the Pilothouse.
The large fixed aluminum framed top provides protection from the weather.
The BOATDECK is very large and will comfortably accommodate her Tender & Liferaft with plenty of room for tables, chairs and toys.
Merlion's SALON is designed with excellent visibility & natural lighting provided by ten large windows. Her furnishings are not built-in, so they can be easily changed if you desire to do so. Both doors leading to the aft deck are fitted with screens. Cabin sole is Parquet. Headroom is 6'8"
The MASTER STATEROOM is furnished with an island queen bed, night tables, drawers and hanging lockers and is accessed from the Salon or Pilothouse. Portlights provide natural lighting. The owners head is en-suite and accessed from the stateroom, and is equipped with a separate tub/shower. Headroom is 6'4"
The FWD STATEROOM has three berths with new cushions. There are portlights and an overhead deck hatch for natural light and ventilation. Storage in drawers and lockers. Headroom is 6'7"
The BUNKROOM is currently being used as a storage room/ workshop, but can be easily changed back to a third Guest Stateroom. Headroom is 6'3"
Both Guest Staterooms share the Guest Head.
Merlion's ENGINE ROOM is very well laid out and maintained (my favorite part of this vessel...see photos). ALL photos were taken at the time of the listing (Dec 2021).
