A novel design using an embedded bamboo / aluminium/ plywood frame to strengthen a solid polyurethane foam solid hull, giving a super-light main hull and floats that are assembled on site and launched like a canoe. Super stable sailing with minimum fuss or a portable slectric skiff that you could fight sport fish from. No need for a trailer, storage space or launch ramps. Electric outboard matched to the design is included, as are the sail and all rigging.
This is hull number 3 of a new design and construction method that achieves the goals of being a super-stable sailing boat that is light enough (and appropriately shaped) for one person to easily load onto a car roof-rack and take to any convenient body of water, where they can easily unload and assemble with minimum fuss before simply launching like a canoe. To further mitigate the fuss and faff of sailing that puts so many off it at an early stage, all knots are replaced with carabiners (metal spring-clips) and there are only two "Ropes" to think about- one to lift the sail and the other to control it. Even the mooring lines are retractable and lock with a button and clip to both the boat and shore. Instead of awkward paddling to manoeuvre away from the side to a place where the sail can be raised- or to replace the sail- a small electric outboard and battery are included, ready to use. The trimaran design makes it as stable as a raft so it won't drop you in the water if you sit on the wrong side or mis-judge the wind strength making it an ideal trainer. Larger sails are available if speed is your thing. (45sf, 55sf or 66sf) Your choice and included in the price. If you just want a canoe, weight boat for fishing or having fun, the electric motor offers silent, hassle free motoring. Even the wires from the battery to the rear of the boat are embedded in the hull to minimise clutter. When not in use, the hull can be stored on its side, against a garage wall or hoisted up into ceiling space as it is so light. This means that a space on a drive or garden or a spot at a sailing club, don't need to be found or paid for. From car top to water in ten minutes and nothing too heavy for a single adult.
