Remarks :The Oyster 42 is a capable offshore yacht with a good turn of speed that is equally at home exploring the Kyles and the Isles of the west of Scotland. Its spacious cockpit and well balanced feel under sail combine with its light and airy accommodation to create a comfortable, practical cruising yacht, suited for extended periods on board. This Oyster 42 has undergone a steady programme of maintenance and upgrading since 2015 including an engine rebuild 2021, electronics replacements, new standing rigging 2018 and running rigging, gas hoses 2024 and new batteries 2022. Hull antifouled, polished and new anodes fitted October 2024.
Accommodation :Forward cabin with V berths with an infill cushion to convert to a double berth, newly upholstered with storage under. Hanging locker, portlights and opening deck hatch. Door leading through to passageway, to starboard, a two tier bunk cabin with portlights and a deck hatch and to port, the heads. Door through to the saloon with a recently upholstered L shaped settee to port with a dining table and bench seat to starboard. Full size forward facing chart table to port with swivel seat, galley to starboard.
Door aft to port to the double berth cabin with fixed portlights and an opening portlight to the cockpit, vanity unit with a sink and storage, access to engine.
Door aft to starboard, to aft storage area with engine access, circuit breakers and tiller arms, also with access from cockpit locker.
