There’s also a large line-up of revolutionary bass boats, with the Z Comanche series and Z 500 series, offering a range of high-performance, super-fast, and innovative bass boats for every level. Its boats are renowned for their ruggedness, practicality, performance, and safety. Ranger was the first brand to develop additional safety foam floatation, which became U.S Coast Guard standard. 

When it comes to patents and innovative developments, Ranger has a long list including possibly its most renowned, the aerated livewell. Now seen widely across the fishing boat sector, the aerated livewell was revolutionary as it allowed anglers to keep fish alive during a tournament and then release them at the end of the day. 

Ownership of Ranger Boats has passed hands several times throughout its history, and since 2014 has been owned by parent company Bass Pro Group LLC, which it bought from Platinum Equity. Other top brands under this parent company include Triton, Tracker, Mako, Regency, Tahoe, and Ascend.
