Barefoot Girl is a "Next Generation Selene Design" that features an improved layout and a more efficient hull design with the "Cruiser Stern". This design offers added headroom in the engine room facilitating service and inspection of equipment.
This well equipped and maintained Selene is the perfect yacht for the serious coastal and passagemaking cruiser. It has a roomy two cabin and two head layout. With the efficient Cummins main engine the boat has an incredible range- almost 3000 miles at 7kts- while the Yanmar get-home engine gives you piece of mind should the unexpected happen. This is a perfect boat for the "Great Loop". With the arch folded back and Bimini down bridge clearance is below 16 feet. This gives you access to Lake Champlain and much more.
The interior is finished throughout in satin varnished cherry with teak and holly soles.
There is a large aft cockpit with access to the integral swim platform through a transom door. There is a large lazarette beneath the aft deck. From the aft deck a Diamond Sea-Glaze Dutch door leads directly into the saloon. There is an L-shaped settee with hi-low table to port. To starboard is a place for two chairs with built-in side cabinets. The large U-shaped galley is forward to starboard. To port forward are stairs leading up to the raised pilothouse where the helm station with a full array of electronics and a settee with table are located. Diamond Sea-Glaze Dutch doors port and starboard lead out to the side decks. To port stairs lead up to the flybridge. The flybridge has two helm chairs forward at the centerline helm station with an L-shaped settee and table located just aft to starboard. To port are the bar, sink, and barbeque. There is a large aft deck area with tender and davit.
To port of the galley are stairs leading below to the accomodations. The master stateroom is forward with island queen and ensuite head. The guest stateroom is aft to port with over and under berths with a head to starboard. Engine room access is through a door aft in the companionway.
The roomy salon has windows around three sides offering great views and an open feel. The large L-shaped settee easily seats six for meals. Additionally:
The large U-shaped galley is offset to starboard just forward of the salon. The galley bar has custom glass storage built in.
The master stateroom is located forward and has a centerline queen berth and ensuite head.
Ensuite Head:
Located aft to port of master the guest stateroom has a unique bifold door that creates a large open space on the companionway. This door can be closed to create a private cabin or left open when the cabin is not in use.
Located to starboard across from guest cabin.
The raised pilothouse offers great visiblity and easy access to the side decks through port and starboard Diamond Sea-Glaze Dutch doors. A short flight of stairs leads up to the flybridge.
Barefoot Girl offers a full array of navigation electronics with redundancy for safety and peace of mind.
Accessed by stairs from the pilothouse there is a centerline helm station forward that has great visibility. Additionally:
The decks are molded non-skid gel coat. The high bulwarks offer secure walk around decks and there are large recessed hawse holes with integrated cleats. There are boarding doors port and starboard just forward of the aft deck. Additionally there is a second boarding door on the starboard side on the pilothouse level.
The large lazarette is located below the aft cockpit and accessed through a large hatch. It offers a huge area for equipment and storage.
There are three watertight bulkheads plus a watertight compartment where the bow thruster is mounted.
