Mechanical & Electrical Systems

Located under the cockpit sole are the Twin Volvo D3 diesel engines, fitted new in 2008. 160hp, 5 cylinders, turbo charged. Shaft driven to fixed 3 bladed bronze propellers. Aluminium 274 litre fuel tank. Hydraulic trim tabs. Cruising speed of 20 knots and a maximum speed of 30 knots. Very good service records with cambelts changed in 2021, crank seals down in 2021. Fully serviced in 2024. Approximately 2 litres per mile at cruising speeds (both engines).12 volt domestic battery (2023). 12 volt engine start battery (2023). 12 volt windlass battery (2023). Construction

Rodman 810 built by Rodman in 2008 to their own design. White GRP hull with style stripes, superstructure and decks with moulded non-slip side decks and foredeck. Teak laid decks to the self-draining cockpit and swimming platform. Sliding wheelhouse windows and aft door. Wheel steering to twin spade rudders.

Accommodation

The Rodman 810 accommodation offers up to three berths in two cabins with approx. 6'4" headroom in the wheelhouse. Up forward is fitted with a wrap-around settee forward with infill to form a double berth and stowage beneath, opening hatch to foredeck. Separate heads compartment to starboard with a Jabsco electric marine toilet washbasin, shower and opening portlight. Moving up into the wheelhouse there is the helm to starboard with a folding helm seat ahead of a linear galley running aft equipped with a stainless steel Origo single burner spirit stove, stainless steel sink and storage cupboard. Front opening Isotherm fridge/freezer. To port is a dinette seating area which can convert to form a berth and has further storage areas. Excellent all-round visibility with good natural light and ventilation provided by two sliding side windows and the large aft sliding door to the cockpit.Pressurised cold water supplied throughout. Blue saloon upholstery with white leatherette helm seat for practicality, and striped upholstery in the lower cabin. Parquet flooring to wheelhouse sole. Webasto cabin heating. Large aft cockpit with excellent lazarette storage and walk-through stern access to the bathing platform.
