Scout Boats has developed many unique features and innovations over the years that have allowed it to stay ahead of the competition. These include being the first brand to introduce the concept of the hybrid model boat (offshore and bay boat combined), an advanced Scout Strata-Mount engine mounting system, and a patented anchor camera. Other notable features include heated seats, hardtop-mounted solar panels, and integrated electronics. 

Model ranges/Models of Scout Boats

Today many Scout Boats are available on the used market. Their high-quality craftsmanship and finishes ensure longevity.

The current lineup is the culmination of those years of innovation and features five ranges incorporating some 27 models. The largest range is the LXF luxury center console series, which offers 10 models ranging from the 260 LXF to the 530 LXF. Even at the most compact end of the range are features such as hard T-tops, forward lounge seats, side dive doors, and in-floor fish boxes. The ultra-luxurious 425 LXF and 530 LXF offer the brand’s stepped hull technology, carbon epoxy construction, two cabins and heads, a well-equipped galley, and up to 2400 hp in quad engines. 

The XSF/Sportfish series is comprised of five compact models of center console fishing and cruising boats that are packed with features. This range includes the 175 Sportfish, the 177 Sport, the 195 Sportfish, the 215 XSF, and the 240 XSF. Swim platforms, aerated baitwells, plus options such as hard T-tops and ski pylons for watersports make these highly versatile family models. 

The Dorado dual console range are family-friendly coastal fishing boats, and there are currently six models: the 277 Dorado, the 255 Dorado, the 240 Dorado, the 215 Dorado, the 195 Sport Dorado, and the 175 Sport Dorado. Whether it’s cruising, fishing, or watersports, these fast and stable models have many features that can be customized to provide great versatility.

The five Bay Boat models include the 231 XSB, the 251 XSS, the 261 XSS, the 281 XSS, and the 281 X Signature. These bay boats or inshore/offshore crossovers offer sleek lines, advanced build methodology, and are packed with features including large casting decks, ample rod storage, and huge fish boxes. The top-of-the-line Signature model features high-end finishes as well as a Mercury 400R engine, carbon fiber Edson steering wheel, and a standing flybridge dual control setup. 

Mention must be made of the 670 LXS launching in 2025. This elegant flagship model hails a new era for Scout Boats as it becomes one of the largest outboard-powered sportfishing yachts companies in the world.
