Shannon Boat Company was founded by Walter Schulz in Bristol Rhode Island in 1975 with the intent to design and build offshore yachts to the highest quality standards. "GLORY" is an excellent example of Walter's many years of experience and the owner's passion and experience. Her owners set out to build the highest quality sailing vessel designed to be sailed with just two people.

Vessel Information

”GLORY” is Hull # 4 of the series, construction began on her in 2001 and she was delivered in August of 2002. The owners cruised her south through Long Island Sound into the Hudson River and then on into the Great Lakes via the Erie Barge Canal to her home in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. Since new, she has been stored out of the water in heated storage for most of the year. While in storage, her owners have always had an open checkbook mentality regarding her care and maintenance. All service and upgrades have been done by W.C Beardslee, a first-class boat yard.

Accommodations

Entry into the cabin has guest staterooms on both sides aft with private doors, wide single bunks, hanging clothes locker, and storage drawers, 12 volt lighting, fold down TV’s, and opening port holes. The starboard side stateroom has a door leading into the guest head with a separate shower area with an additional door making entry from the salon to serve the port side stateroom and as a day head. Ships navigational chart table with full instrumentation AC/DC electrical service panel located on the starboard side aft with a swiveling chair. Large galley wraps around for easy cooking and galley servicing while underway. Gimbal stove with oven, top and side loading refrigeration/freezer that's engine driven and shore assist. Raw water manual foot pumps at double stainless sinks, also 12 volt DC pressure water system. Microwave oven. Galley storage is abundant and well designed. Main salon seating has "U” shaped settee to port that converts into a double berth. Starboard side settee is also extra long. Forward stateroom is huge and begins with a private door leaving the main salon, hanging clothes lockers side by side, chest of drawers on either side, storage below berth. Centerline bed, side opening port windows, topside opening hatch, 12 volt lighting. Beautiful solid teak & holly sole finished with satin varnish throughout the interior. Stainless steel opening side port windows & topside opening hatches for natural ventilation. (2) Marine AC units AC 110 volt and generator powered when desired.
