SAILS
Slab reefing mainsail (Gowen 1995). Mainsail cover. Genoa roller reefing system by Hood with furling No 1 Genoa (Gowen 1995). Alloy mast and spars. Stainless steel standing rigging renewed in 1997, except forestay which was replaced in around 2021. Sails laundered 2019/20.
DOMESTIC
Taylors bulkhead mounted heater. Her galley has a gas cooker with 2 burners, oven and grill, water supply tot he sink from fixed water tank. Separate heads compartment with Baby Blake marine toilet, wash basin opposite. Red vinyl upholstery. Chart table to port.
ACCOMMODATION
She has 7 berths in 3 cabins including 2 vee berths in the forward cabin, her saloon forms a double berth with single opposite and there are two quarter berths.

FEATURES
Refit in 1996/7 included stripping of antifoul/epoxy and re-epoxy coating plus topside re-spray.
Partial refit in 2014 included renewal of port side sub deck & replacement of window frames with new
New B & G navigation instruments (require final fitting).
REMARKS
"Canouan" is a very attractive Van de Stadt designed Rebel 41, with GRP hull and wooden superstructure, bermudan rig and aft cockpit with wheel steering. She has been in present ownership since 1995, undergoing a full refit during 1996/7 and regularly sailed since for coastal and offshore cruising. In 2022 new instruments were purchased and this installation is partially complete. She has remained ashore for the past 2 years due to her owners illness. With some investment she would make a stunning offshore cruiser.
