Osprey is one of the Storebro Bergo range built in Sweden by this famous yard between 1956 and 1964. A total of 400 were built. The boats were imported at the time by Storebro’#s largest dealer Mr Gosta Berg. She is a classic wooden clinker motor boat, built for use on most waters and particularly for estuary use and island hopping in Scandinavia where many families escape to their summer cottages on Sweden’s many archipelagos. At the time she would have had a petrol engine which has been replaced by a smooth running Nanni diesel. The last two owners have spent considerable sums improving the boat while retaining her original mid century character. There is a recent survey and a full file of manuals for the various systems on board as well as detailed invoices for recent work when the boat overwintered with Dennetts of Chertsey. These craft are extremely usable due to the generous cockpit area and the spacious cabin. We could fit a Portapotti to make the boat more practical for weekends.
