Unique Aluminum Striker 44, built in Norway. Completely restored with almost everything professionally replaced

This Striker 44 was originally built in 1969 at "Fjellstrand" batbyggeri & Aluminiumindustri in Omastrand Hardanger (Norway). specialized in building aluminum (ships); then and now. The striker design originates from the USA where these vessels are used for sport fishing at sea. in USA they are generally polyester hulls.

The Norwegian version, as indicated, is built in high quality anodized aluminum. The present owner of this Striker 44 has in a few years reduced the vessel completely to hull, preserved it, and brought it back to its present, beautiful condition. (See photos) the two DAF DT 615 Marine engines were completely overhauled during this period (aroundand have run less than 30 hours since then).

With these DAF DT615 Marine engines of 125 HP each, this Striker 44 reaches a top speed of about 30-35 km/h, and this makes the barge extremely suitable for trips at sea. For example, a weekend at Vlieland or a trip to the North Sea in search of bass, cod or mackerel. Also for longer trips along the coast towards, for example, the Baltic Sea are also recommended. partly because of the large diesel tanks, this gives the barge a large range.

The layout is from front to back: 1 large double cabin, with behind it on the port side a spacious wet room with shower and electric toilet. on the starboard side is a double (bunk) berth. a few steps back / up is the salon with beautiful views around. the steering position is on the starboard side. below the completely renovated electrical cabinet. on the port side is a comfortable sofa and opposite a small galley with hot / cold running water, a 2-burner induction hob, a large refrigerator and a microwave / oven.

Stepping outside is the large aft deck with plenty of storage space and a (new) round seat with matching cushions.

Up the stairs you will reach the covered fly deck with the same apparatuuer and features as the inside steering position. Here you have a great overview and view all around.

In short, a completely new ship in her 'old' jacket; completely converted with love into a wonderful travel ship.
