Mechanical & Electrical Systems

Located behind the companionway steps. Reconditioned Yanmar 3GM30, thee cylinder, 27hp diesel engine fitted in December 2023. Electric start. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Saildrive to two-blade fixed propeller. Single lever control. 120 litre fuel capacity giving approximately 360 mile range at 5 knot cruising speed. Maximum speed under power 6.5 knots. Various engine spares and tool kit.

3 x 12 volt batteries charging from engine alternator with Sterling charge regulator. Solar panel on bimini frame. 240 volt shorepower system with battery charger and immersion heater.

Construction & Rig

Built in 1989 by Schochl Boote to their own design. White GRP hull with blue style stripes. Rubber rubbing strake. White GRP superstructure with teak inlaid deck areas. Fin keel. Wheel steering to spade hung rudder. Aft self-draining cockpit. All seacocks and skin fittings renewed 2014. The hull was shot blasted and epoxied 2022. The teak deck areas have deteriorated to the extent they now need replacement but this does not affect the safety or strength of the vessel. In fact the decks have been like this since a survey carried out in 2014. A quote for supplying and fitting new Sea-Deck was obtained in 2023 which totals PS7,000 inc. VAT, if the current teak is already removed.

Masthead rigged sloop. Anodised aluminium mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging (2009). New forestay 2014. Bamar headsail furling system. Slab reefing mainsail with lazyjacks. Terylene running rigging. Two Lewmar 40 self-tailing sheet winches. Two Lewmar 16 self-tailing halyard winches. Two Lewmar 16 self-tailing control line winches.

Forward facing chart table to port with switch panel. Galley to starboard with twin stainless steel sinks, Eno three burner gimballed gas cooker with oven and 12v refrigerator. Separate heads compartment to starboard with Jabsco marine toilet, shower and washbasin. Holding tank. Aft cabin with double berth and hanging locker.
