Letcher. The design concept was for a boat that would motor easily in the event of no available crew, but would also give ‘entirely adequate performance under sail in all but the lightest weather’. The design was aimed at the novice sailor, to provide him with a comfortable and safe boat that would forgive him his mistakes and keep him and the family safe at sea. The split accommodation and covered centre cockpit mean there is a lot of useable space below decks making her an excellent all season boat. At 14 Thames Tonnes she is a large volume boat for her length, ideal for the family cruising yacht.
