Charming motor sailor for an interesting price.
Spacious and ready to sail motorsailer for an interesting price. She is a tough appearance and an ideal ship for a nice day on the water thanks to the spacious aft deck. But a vacation or even a long stay on board is certainly no problem either. In fact, the salon is very spacious with large windows that give a good view of the surroundings and lots of light. Which is very pleasant for longer stays on board. On longer trips the weather conditions can of course be adverse but in this case no problem, this charming boat has both an outside and inside steering system. Furthermore, there are two cabins a board, a toilet room and a compact but practical galley. Below is a word from the owner which actually sums everything up nicely:
"We have a motorsailer called MARE LIBERUM which we bought in November 1991.
The ship is of the type Lady Captress built by the Shipyard P.J. Tak in Raamsdonksveer, this is an old inland shipyard that switched to building yachts in the 70s.
To my knowledge 18 vessels of the Lady Captress type were built after which a more modern version of the type was built in later years. We have come across several sister ships throughout the Netherlands in recent years, especially in the north of the country.
The yard now no longer exists under the Tak name but has been taken over by another owner.
Details of our boat are:
Year of construction 1974
Steel ship, round bilge, skin thickness 5 mm., skin thickness steel superstructure 4 mm., raised aft deck fitted with a teak deck, 1 cm thick.
The teak deck is about 11 years ago in Oostvoorne in a boathouse (Geijsman) lath by lath removed after which after de-rusting metal deck and re-coated metal deck , again re-laid by a ship carpenter.
Dimensions : Length hull 10.00 m., width 3.25 m., draft 1.35 m., mast height foremast 11.35 m., aft mast 5.50 m, (can pass under the Brielse Brug in the middle , height Brielsebrug (11.50 m)
Length over all is currently 11.60 m due to placement of 2 davits in which currently hangs a dinghy with a width of 1.60 m. The dinghy was donated to our granddaughter.

Engine : Volvo Penta Type M21 A - 4-cylinder, 75 hp, left-hand propeller, 2 fuel tanks diesel, one on port, one on starboard, connected by pipe with intermediate valve.
Bow thruster : Vetus 3 hp
Drinking water tank in midship across , capacity 350 liters water.
Four to six berths, 2 berths in aft cabin (consisting of one double mattress), 2 berths in forward cabin , one to starboard and one to port.
Additional (small) berth(s) to be created in the dinette in the cabin by lowering table into the U-shaped bench and placing a pillow on it (pillow is provided).
Galley is equipped with geyser with separate spray head. Sink with tap for cold and hot water.Refrigerator suitable for gas, batteries (12 volts) and connection 220 volts. Gas comfort : 3 burners and 2 large gas bottles in bun ( with venting) in stern, one of which is connected and the other is spare.
Toilet with sink and mirror. Also holding tank, later ( in 2011) built in, capacity 30 liters.
In the cabin is a navigation corner with extendable chart table, equipped with VHF radio, GPS and depth gauge . VHF radio has ATIS and radio call sign PF5858 .
Double steering, inside and outside, also bow thruster both inside and outside to operate.
Other technical meters are oil pressure gauges , tachometers, inside and outside and rudder indicator on outside console on the aft deck.
Also shore connection available for use 220 V shore power.
Ship is in 2021 and mid 2022 in Zuidland at a shipyard completely renovated and painted by a marine painter from Zuidland.
Underwater ship again in the antifouling and equipped with 6 new zinc anodes.
Masts are aluminum as well as the boom and mizzen boom. Rigging secured with stainless steel standing rigging and stainless steel turnbuckles.
Sails are of dacron and in good condition, have been but minimally used the last few years. Only sailed on IJsselmeer and Randmeren during our vacations.
Green covers around the sails and the cockpit sail on the aft rail have been provided with new stitching at a sailmaker in Brielle last year.
Ship can be used as a motor cruiser after removal of masts , we have come across some sister ships without sails."
