Fantastic example of the Tarquin Trader 41 Sport with only 2500 engine hours and recently serviced with the last survey in 2017. Pease use this link for video Tarquin range of Trawler yachts was developed by Kha Shing in Taiwan
in 1977. Through their considerable success, Kha Shing became the ninth
largest motor yacht builder in the world manufacturing up to 100 vessels per
year.

in 1977. Through their considerable success, Kha Shing became the ninth
largest motor yacht builder in the world manufacturing up to 100 vessels per
year. The range was marketed in the UK by distributor Tarquin Boats Ltd and
branded as ‘Trader’.
After the demise of Tarquin Boats in 2009 the worldwide distributor rights
were given to Monte Fino and a new subsidiary Tarquin Motor Yachts Ltd was
formed who continue to market the range. The current model in the range,
branded the T43 Sport Fisher, it is the direct successor of the 41 Sport with
the transom restyled to draw the length out by a foot and other minor design
changes, but the overall concept remains unchanged.
The Tarquin Trader hull is a semi displacement, hard chine hull with a
substantial ¾ length keel, raked stem and fine entry. The bottom lines sweep
aft with a moderate deadrise forward flattening out to an almost flat run aft
and a vertical transom. The semi-displacement hull will provide for a safe,
stable motion in a seaway with good directional stability.
There are three almost full length spray rails and gull wing chines to give lift
onto the plane. The substantial flare in the bows should help to keep the ride
dry and more comfortable in a seaway than most semi displacement hull
forms. This is enhanced by an additional topsides spray rail at the bows. The
power train is a pair of Caterpillar turbocharged V8 cylinder diesels on shaft
drives.
Accommodation is small for her overall length thanks to the generous open aft
cockpit and fishing deck hence the designation ‘Sport’. The accommodation
provides for 4 in two double sleeping cabins. The wheelhouse has a large
helm station to starboard with a fixed double pilot seat and navigation station
to port. In the after end of the wheelhouse to port is an L shaped dinette which can
convert into an additional double berth. Opposite to starboard is a full length
galley with a domestic sized gas cooker and similar sized front opening
refrigerator. There are spacious cupboards below and above the window line.
The engine space is below the wheelhouse sole with good access by lifting
panels. Forward of the wheelhouse is a heads to starboard and a small crew
cabin to port with bunk beds. Forward is the master cabin with a comfortable
double berth on the centre line of the vessel.
