Wooden Ships Comments
Built by Carstensen and Henriksen of Skagen, Denmark in 1930 as a motor fishing vessel to typical Danish fishing boat lines with a bluff bow, sweeping exaggerated sheer line and the most elegant elliptical counter stern. She fished until 1972 with a period under German control in WWII, but was then converted to a sailing vessel for charter where she worked in Europe and the Caribbean with various owners.
Bought by the present owners in 2012, She is licenced under German flag for 28 day passengers, 12 overnight passengers and also carries a cargo licence.
Major ongoing refit since 2012 which has included a new teak deck, new Volvo engine, new generator and all wiring and electronics, new main mast and new sails. She is an exceptionally well maintained and well equipped sailing ship that is absolutely ready to be worked and sailed. A full list of her inventory and the work done in recent years is available to prospective buyers.
The size of the ship makes her very attractive as she is small enough to be very easy to handle with a small crew, but her powerful topsail schooner rig with raked masts is probably one of the most eye catching and spectacular rig designs there is.
One of the finest traditional sailing vessels in Europe, for sale at an extremely attractive price at the owners request.
