Trapper 28 fin keel cruiser racer sailing yacht. Very fast for the length (28ft) and lovely and balanced to sail. The perfect ideal affordable club racer. Nice large cockpit and cozy cabin with 4 berths (two adults and two children comfortably), unused sea toilet and two burner grill. Extensive work completed over the last few years and she is currently on a private pontoon in Port Solent Marina after a new paint job. Comes with Genoa (new UV strip 2023) and fully battened main with two reefs. She has a Yanmar 1GM10 inboard diesel with a new 24 litre plastic diesel tank (rebuilt in 2023), correct spare engine mounts supplied also (worth £800 off the shelf). Owners selling due to lack of time and other sailing programs unfortunately taking up too much attention. In no rush but open to sensible offers.

Work completed 2024:

Work completed 2023: – hull striped back, fresh antifoul and anodes underneath. – New grip paint on the deck. – deck drain hose replaced – Engine service, injector reconditioned, brand new racor diesel filter installed. – Wood trim revarnished – New stainless exhaust elbow – New solar charge controller – New anode

Work completed 2022: – Sails serviced, 2 new slab reef points on the main with new lines. New UV strip on genoa – Brand new sea toilet and sea cock fitted. – New engine start battery

Work completed 2021 – Engine rebuild. New piston rings, bearings, head reconditioned, all new gaskets and anode. – Full hull paint strip, new paint and antifoul – New swing out instrument mount for Garmin GPS 450 chart plotter and brand new fish finder depth sounder. Transducer epoxied to hull in front of the keel under the floor board. – New leisure battery – Cabin LED lighting.

Standing rigging was changed in 2015.
