"Callisto" has been lightly used for sailing around the South Coast of Ireland for the 13 years that I have owned her. She is an incredibly sea worthy boat and will happily sail anywhere you want to go safely.
There is as a very active Westsail Owners Group on-line which is helping to keep these famous boats (over 800 built) on the water and in active use.
I started a full refit program in 2018 completing the hull and sea cocks in 2018 and the mast and full running rigging replacement and major upgrade in 2019.
She is now capable of being fully sailed from the cockpit including raising and lowering mainsail and reefing.
"We enjoyed spending time on "Callisto". Her refit took us over a year, we could not have had any better "COVID project" After the refit we were able to sail her on South Coast of Ireland. We had some good sailing trips with family and friends but mainly sailed her alone and from the bowsprit, enjoying nice encounters with dolphins on almost every trip. We always felt safe and knew "Callisto" would find her way home. We kept her in Kinsale where we found many helping hands and friends for life."
"Callisto" is a lovely cruising boat and is excellent value when one takes into account what has been spent on her upgrades.
