DESCRIPTION

Vagabond 47 for sale. 1993 build. Bluewater yacht. New Nanni 100 hp marine diesel. Bow thruster. One of the later models of about 300 built. Designed by William Garden and Built in Taiwan by Bluewater Yacht Builders. Retains many classic features and a superb teak interior, teak decks. It is the Mark 2 version, which features step-free access to the cabins from the saloon and good headroom. Bath in seperate compartment.Two heads, one electric.

This is a great example of the classic Vagabond design.

It is the Mark 2 version, which features step-free access to the cabins from the saloon and good headroom.

She has just returned from a six-year cruise of the Med taking in France , Italy, Greece and Spain. Had a complete re-fit before the voyage.

A particularly attractive feature is the spacious saloon with comfortable seating, bookshelves, flat screen internet TV, DVD and sound system with bass box fitted under bunk and dining area.

Engine – New Nanni 100hp fitted by specialist marine engineers. 500 hours (estimated). Fuel supplied by two fuel tanks and a day tank system for short journeys. Two racor fuel filters fitted in line.

Bow thruster fitted. Separate battery bank and separate charger. Isolator switch.

Mastervolt charger and inverter giving 240 volt power when under way. Shore power connection in cockpit.

Galley: microwave and inverter plate backed up by new gas cooker. Two fridges - a 240v shore type fridge and the original factory fridge which is cooled by a Penguin compressor, which cools through the hull to avoid fan noise in cabin.

Air conditioner fitted in cupboard and additional portable air con units for extra hot days in port. Many opening portholes and vents throughout.

Four opening ceiling hatches. Electric 12v fans around saloon and cabins.

New seacocks throughout fitted. All working.

Two new large water tanks under floor. Pressurised water system with emersion for hot water. Under single berth cabin is a 1600m bath (used in port).

Cabins –

Aft cabin with own ensuite (shower area currently used as a workshop, but easily reinstated)

Fore cabin with 3 bunks and porthole

Fore shower and heads.

Saloon beds if needed.

Three battery banks – engine, house and bow thruster. All AGM batteries.

Raymarine plotter/ depth/GPS/fish finder combined in one unit in cockpit. Original compass in cockpit. Autohelm autopilot system. Wheel indicator. Radio at chart table plus portable addition. Navigation lights and masthead strobe. Comprehensive electronics.

Full Copper coat treatment below waterline carried out by professional specialists. Recently hauled out with no growth.

New toilets 2021. One electric one manual.

Black water tank fitted under bunk (needs new connection)

Cockpit bimini cover and helmsmans seat.

Mizzen mast has been removed but is in yard and can be re fitted if desired but for Med cruising the extra cockpit space is preferred.

Three sails used:

Furling mainsail (new 2010).

Yankee/jib

Three more sails kept in UK- uninspected but believed to be additional for sailing.

Two anchors with 100m chain in chain locker.

Electric anchor winch operated from helm.

Internet is picked up by data allocation on phone. This was found to work all over Med except when 50 miles or so from land.

VAT (TVA) paid in France. EU CE certification (plaque affixed to boat). .

Beautiful and unique vessel for ocean voyages or local sailing with capacity for friends and family.

Great stability in rough seas compared with other designs.
