DESCRIPTION

The Valiant 42 SILVER LINING represents a rare opportunity to have a one owner boat that has seen only seasonal use since new. The boat was highly customized when built and includes many options. Stored covered in winter months with the rig stored indoors the boat shows as a much younger vessel. This Robert Perry design has proven to be easily handled by a crew of two in all conditions. The cutter rig performs well at all points of sale and will get you to your destinations quickly and safely. Just launched for the season after its annual bottom paint and commissioning, SILVER LINING is ready to go at a moments notice. Additional pictures and build specifications available on request.

Accommodations

SILVER LINING has the preferred center entry companionway layout with a queen berth forward stateroom. Entering from the cockpit down wide tread stairs there is a double quarter berth cabin to port and head to starboard. Continuing forward the galley is to port with navigation station to starboard. Forward from there is the main salon followed by the queen berth stateroom.

The interior is cherry wood with teak and holly soles throughout. Reverse cycle air conditioning and heat.

Forward Stateroom

The prefered queen berth design with abundant storage. Additionally:

The Valiant 42 has a custom tapered, double spreader aluminum mast with rod rigging set up as a cutter rig. The rig has been pulled and stored indoors every winter. It is inspected and re-rig by an experienced boatyard each season. Sheets, furling lines and main halyard lead aft to cockpit for easy sail handling.

Hull And Deck

The Valiant hull is a solid fiberglass made with 100% isophthalic resin. The Perry design is a modified keel with a large skeg hung rudder so it is easily handled even in the worst conditions. The topsides are painted with Imron red with a white boot top. The non skid decks are painted with AwlGrip pearl gray. There is 1/2" closed cell foam added to the inside of hull from waterline to prevent condensation for sound insulation. Additionally:

  • Valiant custom bowsprit with dual anchor rollers and double stainless rails
  • Lighthouse stainless 12 VDC electric windlass with dual chain gypsies
