Built at Newman & Son in Poole in 1937 she has enjoyed the life – her current owners of more than 20 years have spoilt her while cruising their spectacular home waters near Vancouver and we dare you to visit her !
MARGARETTA II is a robust and uncomplicated boat, ready to head out anywhere and very easy for 2 people to handle both under sail and power.

Construction
- Pitch pine on oak frames
- Decks are 3 layers of ½ inch marine ply glued and screwed with epoxy cloth overlay
- Cedar log bulwarks with Honduras mahogany caps
- Cabins are all teak
- Cabin sides 2 ½ inch plank 16 inch high and 20 ft long from for’ard the main mast to aft
- Cabin soles all teak planking
Accommodation
- Accommodation is for 5 in 3 cabins; from aft
- Lazarettte accessed by hatch cover deck skirting the after cabin
- Access to the cockpit and deckhouse over high coamings either side
- Central cockpit fore end sheltered by neatly proportioned deck house
- Main companionway leads down to the main cabin with galley immediately to port
- Chart table opposite to stbd
- Doorway aft to lobby space; enough to remove wet oilskins for hanging by engine room
- Engine room amidships below the cockpit
