Description

Mahalo is one of few Centurion 40's originally built with fiberglass decks. All building materials are of superior quality and all lines are lead aft for short-handed sailing, while her layout easily accommodates a small family or 2 couples. Her shoal draft Scheel keel will take you to some of the world’s most beautiful anchorages.

She has been lovingly maintained with significant upgrades including new Yanmar engine and Saildrive in 2008, new standing rigging 2011, Corian counters and Ultrasuede upholstery. A 9’AB Hypalon dinghy was purchased new in 2012, complete new or refurbished electronics in 2011, new anchor chain 2016, new batteries 2016, new windlass motor and remote 2016 etc. etc.

She is fully equipped for world cruising, with SSB, watermaker, solar panels, radar, air conditioning throughout, ST6002 autopilot, as well as standard electronics, and ample storage. See full specs for more inventory and updates.

Mahalo has proven herself with 2 Atlantic crossings.

History

First launched in France in 1989, Mahalo sailed the Atlantic and to her first owner living in Maryland on the U.S east coast. He lightly sailed her until 1998. Her 2nd owners, from, took her up and down the U.S. coast, to the Bahamas and Eastern Caribbean and in 2002 sailed her across the Atlantic, where she spent the next 6 years in the Mediterranean and was expertly refit in Italy in 2008. As the owner couple was now in their mid-seventies, they decided to ship Mahalo back to Florida in 2009 and swallow the anchor. Her previous owners purchased her in 2011 and have sailed her seasonally since then in the U.S., Bahamas, and Eastern Caribbean.
