The Westerly Conway was one of the best sea yachts that Westerly ever produced. This example has been much updated and improved recently with 2013 standing rigging, 2015 mainsail, 2012 engine, 2010 hull epoxy treatment, full galley re-fit and also has Hydrovane self steering system. Well worth inspection - ready for her next ocean trip after recent re-fitting.

Accommodation

Seven/eight berths in three cabins with excellent headroom. Headlinings attended to in 2010.

V berth forward in forward cabin with shelving,storage under berth, opening ports and deck hatch.

The heads compartment is to port with marine toilet, basin and shower. All fitted out extremely well and practical both at sea and in harbour. Opposite the heads compartment are storage lockers.

The saloon has two settee berths with custom cushions, storage below berths, behind raised backs and cupboards above berths.There is a double leafed saloon table with bottle stowage.

The L shaped galley is aft of the saloon and to starboard. This is fully equipped with a Spinflo gas cooker (two burners, grill and oven), refrigerator (12V) with keel cooling, twin stainless steel sinks and copious storage. The hot and cold pressurised fresh water system is heated via a calorifier from the engine or 240V immersion heater. 400 litres water capacity.

Opposite the galley to port is the chart table. This has a good sized table with chart stowage under the lid, drawers under and book stowage outboard. Here there is also much navigation equipment and a comprehensive switch panel arrangement for 12V and 240V systems.

Aft of the chart area is a walk through to the aft cabin which has a navigators berth.

The aft cabin has a large double berth, storage, opening ports and hatch to the deck. En-suite heads compartment with marine toilet and basin.

Curtained. Draylon upholstery, recent. Eberspacher diesel fired central heating system with four outlets.

Spars & Sails

Masthead sloop rig. Anodised aluminium masts and booms by Proctor Masts, deck stepped, 1979. Stainless steel standing rigging, new in 2013. Removable inner forestay. Terylene running rigging. Profurl head sail furling system. Slab reefing to mainsail with 2015 lazy jacks and stack pack cover. Lewmar 42 primary winches. Four other secondary winches.

Mechanical Systems

Located under cockpit. Year 2012 Beta 43HE marine diesel engine. Four cylinders. Fresh water cooled. 43hp. Shaft drive to 2013 three bladed fixed propeller. Single lever engine controls. There is a 150 litre alloy fuel tank. Approx 6 knots cruising and 7 knots maximum speed under engine. Approx 300nm range under engine. The engine has completed only some 35 hours from installation. Last serviced in 2013.

Three 12V batteries in two banks charging via engine alternator, 240V Sterling shore power charger and solar panel on aft deck goalpost. 2013/14 batteries. Battery management system.

Built by Westerly Marine Construction in 1979. White grp hull with style stripes and teak rubbing strakes. HULL EPOXIED IN 2010. White grp coach roof with grey treadmaster non slip decks. Cast iron fin keel. Wheel steering to skeg hung rudder. Self draining centre cockpit. Hatches to both saloon and aft cabin. Moulded toe rails. Midship mooring cleats. Stainless steel safety rails and stanchions with gates in lifelines. Teak hand rails. Teak to cockpit seats and teak gratings to sole. Alloy framed windows and opening ports.
