DESCRIPTION

Spacious and comfortable river boat for sale.

Description
We believe Highlight was originally built as a hire boat for Herbert Woods on the Norfolk Broads circa late 1980s by Westwood Boats of Beccles, and she was acquired by the current owners around 20 years ago and has been based on the River Great Ouse ever since. With spacious accommodation and sedan styling, she is well suited to river and broads cruising or possibly even as a liveaboard. If interested in this vessel, viewings are by arrangement, so please contact us to make an appointment. A mooring may be available to a new owner if desired.

Construction
GRP moulded hull, deck and topsides, timber straking and PVC gunwale, quarter and bow fendering. The hull above the waterline and topsides are painted white with blue cabin and saloon roof, and the decks are covered with a non-slip, marine decking material.  Guard rail, pulpit rail and grab rails in stainless steel, alloy deck fittings, alloy framed windows and screens, stainless steel and timber bathing platform and ladders.

Accommodation
There is a spacious, aft well deck for sitting outside that can be accessed from either side or astern containing storage lockers, LPG locker, access hatch to the stern gear, secure generator storage box, shore power connection point, cockpit speakers and a fully glazed partition containing a pair of glazed, aluminium sliding doors that open in to the main saloon area;
Fixed roof with a sliding opening section above the helm and forward seating, fully glazed forward and side screens, opening side windows, fitted L shaped seating to starboard with storage beneath that converts to a double berth, fitted storage unit to port, a pair of fold up easy chairs, access hatch to the engine bay and bilge area, helm to port with seat mounted on a wooden storage box, additional bench seating opposite to starboard with storage beneath, carpet, curtains, soft vinyl linings and lights mounted above, a slightly offset companion way and steps lead to the galley;
L shaped with base units and a wall mounted cupboard, laminate work top, white wipe clean upstand, stainless steel circular sink and drainer with a mixer tap, Isotherm dual voltage fridge, LPG cooker with 4 ring hob, grill and oven, microwave oven on a shelf, sliding cabin window, cork tile flooring, controls for solar panel, fridge and battery charger. A door to starboard leads to a separate cabin;
Fitted double berth (new mattress 2020) with storage beneath, fitted vanity unit with wash basin and storage beneath, opening window, curtains, carpet, lighting, warm air heating outlet and oil filled electric radiator. Opposite is a separate head with;
Wipe clean wall panels, fitted vanity unit with wash basin and shower head attachment, storage beneath, shelf above, opening window, manual sea toilet, shower drain under the floor.
Lying forward and to starboard is a separate WC and shower compartment with a manual sea toilet, shower and opening windows. The master cabin lies forward in the bow;
A fitted double bed (new mattress 2020) lies fore and aft with the toilet holding tank underneath and space to access the bed from both sides, storage shelving and lockers on both sides, a fitted wash basin to starboard, reading lights, deck hatch, opening side windows, curtains and carpet, warm air heating outlet and oil filled electric radiator.
The interior appears to be largely original with plenty of varnished woodwork, some formica, brown carpet and marbled cream vinyl linings, original bulkhead and ceiling mounted lighting.

Engine
Perkins Perama MC42 diesel engine coupled to a shaft drive with a single lever control mounted at the helm. We are advised by the owner that the engine was last serviced in Winter 2019/20.
