Accommodations

The X-99 offers 8 berths in 3 cabins, Fore cabin Double berth. Main Saloon area two single berths and two top bunks. Aft two single berths. Saloon table with central stowage locker. Chart table. The galley comprises of single stainless-steel sink with surrounding storage, Twin gas hob with grill and oven, cool box. The upholstery is finished in red velour, with teak and holly flooring.

Sails and Spars

Fractional rigs supported by aft swept spreaders are currently in vogue amongst modern sports boats, but have their roots in the cruising scene. The principal benefit of such a rig is its simplicity, not its performance. The X-99's spreaders are raked aft 5”. This allows sufficient safety margin to tack or gybe the boat without the runners on, but the performance gain from having adjustable runners is still inherent in the rig. A perfectly trimmed fractional rig will always depend on having runners and checkstays - the X-99 is "born" with these. Keel stepped alloy mast (2016) by J Mast, Boom alloy. Stainless steel standing rigging (2016), Spectra running rigging (2016), manual backstay adjuster. Spinnaker pole alloy. Carbon tiller and bowsprit.

Owners or Brokers comments

Owned by the current owner for the last 13 years selling as he is looking to upgrade to a new boat, only 2 previous owners, based in Plymouth and sailed the UK and Northern France. “X Static” is at the moment optimized to race IRC but lots of original equipment has been stored.
